In effort to reduce carbon emissions and ensure a sustainable future, many countries, cities and even the northeast heating oil industry have resolved to achieve net-zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 2050. At American Energy Supply, we stand with those committed to net zero carbon by 2050 by taking the pledge too.

What does net-zero carbon mean?

Net-Zero Carbon means balancing carbon by removing an equal amount of carbon from the atmosphere. This action can be applied to carbon emissions created by an industry, country, city, company or even an individual. Reaching Net-Zero Carbon is accomplished through carbon offsetting programs, forestation initiatives, and renewable energy efforts.

For American Energy Supply, this means providing carbon offsetting solutions for both our business and our customers, becoming more efficient on and off road, as well as actively pursuing a future in greener, lower carbon renewable bio-fuel without compromising quality or our customer’s experience.

We want to help reduce the impact of the oil industry and stand with over 300 industry members committed to Net-Zero Carbon by 2050.

How will we get there?

The Net Zero 2050 initiative calls for 15% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2023, a 40% reduction by 2030, and net-zero-carbon emissions by 2050. We have already started work on this initiative by offering simple carbon solutions at checkout and even more in store for this year and next.
